Converting from a dial-up
connectionInstalling Broadband is easy! You don't need an engineer you
can do it, even if you have little or no PC knowledge. Once you have signed
up with an ISP they will send you a broadband pack containing: -
- ADSL modem
- Line cord
- Simple installation guide
- Your
ISP's broadband CD
- 1 or more ADSL filters (microfilter's)
The
contents of your ISP's pack may differ from this but as a general guide this is
what most ISP's provide. It may take up to 10 days for BT to broadband enable
your phone line. Below is a five-step guide to setting up broadband. It should
be used as a reference only. Follow the instructions given to you by your ISP. Step1:
Insert the ISP's CD into your PC and follow the onscreen instructions. 
Step
2: You will need to plug an ADSL filter into every telephone socket where you
intend to use the phone line for telephone calls, fax data, satellite receivers
or a dial-up modem. 
Step
3: Connect the Line Cord between the ADSL Modem and the ADSL microfilter nearest
to the computer. 
Step
4: Connect the modem into the USB port of your computer.

5: Once software installation is completed follow the onscreen instructions, sign
up and feel the power of broadband. For
